My personal opinion, I avoid extended warranties, most of these have "out" clauses or exclusions, etc., that greatly limit the coverage. Just my humble opinion.

Full disclosure: I have NO direct knowledge of the company you mentioned.

My cousins in TV have a contract with Broward and have been very pleased with it. Any appliance repairs that they have had were handled quickly and to their satisfaction. But like villagetinker said, be sure to read the fine print with any contract and know what you're signing. What works for some people may not work for you. In checking into these service contracts myself, I know most exclude any appliance over 10 years old. I'm sure there are other exclusions as well. I don't have one myself so can't speak from personal experience. I'm sure my husband would feel the same way that villagetinker does about them.

We have the Silver plan that includes circuit boards. Cost was $274. We have used them for a dryer repair with no problem. A friend of mine has the same plan and had his air conditioner repaired replacing a blower fan and condenser, again no problems.

They're betting nothing breaks , you're betting something breaks--put all the money you've spent or will spend on these extended warrantees in the bank, especially if its a new house-the a/c has a 10 year warranty, in 4 years you've got $1600.00

If it is a new house, the AC probably has a 10-year warranty on parts but a 5-year on labor. Easy to check.
