New "updated mobile app" ???

What's with this new app I have on my Iphone? It started yesterday when I attempted to get on Talkofthevillages. It appears to be overloaded with advertising and very difficult to navigate. Each time I log on to "Talkofthevillages.com, it asks for approval for my location, the next screen then shows a large advertisement and in small letters an option to "log out of upgraded site", for which I should be able to click on, but doesn't work. Is it just my phone working like this? Is there a way to restore the version I used up through yesterday?

Just got it now. Yuck. So far I don't like. Maybe I'll get used to it.

Tapatalk is a good option if you want an app.

That new ap is only showing up on my phone. My I pad is the same old version.

TOTV on my iPhone is impossible for me to use. I wondered what had happened to it. Really liked the old way.

I cannot remember exactly what happened, but at one point I was asked if I wanted to revert to the old version. I did, and every visit since has been old version.

Glad this thread was started. I visit TOTV often from my iPhone and was shocked/disappointed to see the new mobile app few days ago that was difficult to understand and navigate. And most important to me, the "new posts" was not one of the few choices on the home screen. I went into settings and changed a few default options, still no good, and found the option to revert back to the old app. I am back on the old one, will stay right here as long as I can. No thanks- don't like the new mobile app. I have no problem with TOTV refresh rate on my phone, except for the Classified which freeze.

Tapatalk is a good option if you want an app.

I also use tapatalk and can respond to messages with it too. I like it.

While using your phone, go to a search engine like Google. Type in Talk of the Villages. It will take you to the browser and not the ap. you will now have the old version.

I haven't had any problem with my iPhone app. But I did install a pop up blocker months ago and it has helped with other sights that I visit. Maybe that makes the difference.
