not quite, close, an extract from dried swim bladders is used to speed the settling of yeast and other impurities. it can let bladder cells get into the beer. most brewers use gelatin these days which wouldn't be vegan either.

I've suddenly had an urge to significantly reduce my beer intake. From my two beers a week! I hope they don't use fish bladders on scotch.

keep drinking your beers, its not the bladder for waste elimination but rather bladders that give the fish buoyancy...kind of the same thing that happens after consuming a couple of brews.
