Friday Night at the Fights. Wonder if Gillette will be a sponsor? I would not consider this a political discussion thread - unless Guest goes off the deep end.

If only Don Dunphy could be the announcer. He had a great nasally voice.

How far the standard bearer of the republican party has sank, unbelievable. If Barack Obama or Bill Clinton did this, we would need smelling salts all around.

Unlike Democrat true believers, most people think it's a pretty cool thing for Romney to do .... the purpose is to raise $1M for charity.

Does anyone remember Rocky III?

Rocky Balboa was boxing a huge wrestler (Hulk Hogan) in a celebrity match. The wrestler goes beserk and just about crushes Rocky.

Anyone got hopes like that for Mitt?

Actually, the match would be better if it was between Sara Palin and her family versus Holyfield - and make it for real!

How about a celebrity grudge match between Hillary and Bill Clinton ... except allow Hillary to throw dishes at Bill, as well as punches ??

A good time was had by all, and over a million dollars went to charity. If Romney had been himself and not the "severely" conservative one that pandered to the base he would be President today.

And if SCOTUS has selected Al Gore, instead of Junior, hundreds of thousands of lives would have been saved.

Not to mention the life savings of thousands more.

And not to mention the jobs of hundreds of thousands more.

And now the GOP wants to elect the brother of the president who committed the biggest foreign policy mistake in modern times. The one who supports his brother's foreign policy and has all the same top war hawks advising him.

I didn't say Romney would be a better President. I'm happy enough with the current one. Even though after W my happy quotient was altered, 6-1/2 years of relative peace and increased prosperity has felt pretty good. But the Governor Romney would have been a much better opponent than the charade candidate he became.

Until the brain washing is complete, is it a requirement to have a glass of the party kool aide each and every time the party fairy tales are presented?

Maybe there is a commendation for erred persistence to be earned.
