Kohl's and Sams Club

My husband and I are looking forward to returning to TV in early Fall and were wondering if the Kohl's, Sams Club and the new Beals on 466 are open yet.

Should be open by the Fall along with a Fresh Market. I'm really looking forward to that. Have to make a trip to Ocala to Sam's right now and with the gas prices, it's annoying.

Have heard that Kohl's will open Fall. Sam's Club will not open until Jan 2, 2009. Sam's and Walmart have a policy that they will not open a new store within a certain time frame of Christmas.

If I correctly remember that is the way Walmart did the opening of the Walmart on 466. They opened after Christmas not before.

I was at the Sam's club in Ocala today and asked the checker about the Lady Lake store....she said it will open on January 22, 2009. (heck, maybe she said the 2nd and I misheard...so Indy could be right). So, no shopping at local Sam's for Christmas.

Kohl's, I believe, will open sooner...maybe no later than November??? They are also building a new Kohl's in Ocala right at the I-75 interchange where Sam's is. Our Kohls will probably open first.

Where exactly will the new Sam's club be?

We come up there from Rt27/441. Now, since we are about 3 miles south of Leesburg, we have to get on the turnpike and go to outside Orlando to go to Sam's.

Your new one will be closer. This Florida thing gets better every day!

Regarding Kohl's, it's posted on the front door that Oct 1 is the Grand Opening.

I believe the sign in front of Kohl's says they'll open Sept 28 with grand opening Oct 1. Can't wait for Kohl's. They're originally a Wisconsin based family business so I was shopping their stores back in the mid 80's.

Frank, Sam's will be on 441 just south of Home Depot. It's in the same area as Kohl's, Best Buy, Bed, Bath, Beyond, etc. It's too bad they won't open till January. I'm sick of driving to Ocala.

Bealls on 466 opens middle of September. Haven't heard a date for Fresh Market. They still have quite a bit of work to do.

Sam's will be located on 441/27 right next to the Home Depot near Rolling Acres Road just south of the shopping center in The Villages. Kohl's will be just across the street as well as Best Buy which is already open.

You are right about Sam's Club not opening before Christmas, same thing they did here in Arkansas (their home state). They could have opened it for Christmas here they year they opened, but they waited until January to open here. Must be their policy.
