Does anyone know what this is growing on my bushes? What should be done about it if anything? It is hard to see. It is a fuzzy green stuff and is growing on many of my bushes.

It could be a harmless, but not so pretty lichen.

yes as Kitty stated, its moss. It was all over several of my bushes including one out of my 3 crepe myrtle bushes. I had it diagnosed at a local nursery and it was recommended I use a product called "copper" something. I turned the whole issue over to my pest control company and the bush was sprayed. Currently that bush is full of foliage and new buds.

It is lichen. The leech of the plant kingdom. Direct applications of copper sulfate is the standard fix.
I was told by a longtime friend and local nurseryman ( has been growing wholesale here over 40 years, not a newbee ) that he mixes baking soda in water and gets great results, but I didn't get the ratio and I haven't tested it.
