Starting around 10:30pm I have been having problems with loading posts.

This is generally the worst site that I am on as far as performance. It seems that even when it's working well, it's much slower than many other sites.

I agree. Very finicky site. Some time the back button works & other times it doesn't. Most of the time it's slow.

This morning it wouldn't show any "new posts" for me.

When it does that, I click on Quick Links>Today's posts.

I never had a problem before so I am running malawarebytes. Now when I click in the message box there is a long lag.

Slow to load for last week and very slow this morning.

I've not noticed any issues this morning. Could it be geography or Internet provider based? I use BrightHouse and live south of 466A.

I picked quick links--new posts as suggested and it's more normal. I'm still running the free addition of malawarebytes. I haven't done that in years and this hard drive is 10 times larger so it may take an hour to look at everything. I'm not sure it's useful because Tech TV [leo laporte] doesn't recommend it.

I have comcast with burst speed or something like that so i don't think its the provider.

I'm repeating myself but this is the very first time I experienced lag. I would type some words and they would appear 30 seconds later.

The quick link appears to be the solution for now.

It's fast now.

Windows defender did not find any problems.

I'm doing a windows update now.

Did anyone with an apple computer or chromebook also notice problems with TOTV late last night or this morning?

thank-you

I am on a PC, and everything is fast. Open task manager and monitor your browser memory usage. TOTV was hoarding my memory, 800+ Mb. Once I installed ADblock plus, the problem was fixed. It seems totv ads are burdensome.

I am usually on TOTV on my iPad. It has been a little slower loading but is really slow when I type something. My big problem lately has been signing in. It no longer remembers my user name or password. I have to sign in every time I go into TOTV -- even if I haven't logged off and haven't been off the site for more than a few minutes.

When I log onto the TOTV website, my Avast Virus Protection always warns me "Threat Detected". I ignore it and proceed.

When you log in make sure that the Remember Me box is checked. Otherwise, you will have to log in every time.

I'm the OP. I was out all day and this is what's going on now. If I use chrome TOTV is constantly loading. I switched to IE after doing widows updates.

IE seems to work fin with TOTV. I may uninstall chrome and then do a fresh install. If push comes to shove I'll reinstall windows.

For now I have to stick it what I have or I would have a large screen chrome book by now.

I just installed AdBlocker obn Chrome and it's fixed.
Is there a down side, a tradeoff when using addblocker?
Thank-you very much

It happens even when I check "remember me". That's what I don't understand.

We are using Chrome and not experiencing this issue with loading.

We will look into the 'remember me' report.
