I'm pretty certain it's a Gallardia Daisy or Blanket Flower, see link for information Plant Care Guides :: National Gardening Association (http://www.garden.org/plantguide/?q=show&id=3347). They are great for attracting butterflies and bees.

Your plant is a coreopsis. There are quite a few named varieties. The one you have looks like pictures of "Satin & Lace Red Chiffon" or "Cosmic Eye". You can google images of "coreposis red center" for lots of pictures.

I did google it! Well done, Juneroses!

There are so many great plants down here... make sure to plant stuff in the full sun that are full sun and shade plants really need the shade and can take very little direct sunlight.. if they like part shade they will get demolished in full sun most of the time so you have to be careful of that as well...

Even the full-sun stuff enjoys a lick of shade during the day. My verbena/lantana/salvia/marigold/Something Vine planter is going crazy in only half a day of sun.
