Please forgive me for bringing this up again, but I have had a" senior moment" and don't know where I wrote down the guy's name that installs this resin flooring. Any help please? Thanks.

Please don't do anything outside in the sun with this. The sealer turns white and hazy, refreshed only by resealing....every 6 months. Gets too expensive. Looks great in lanais but will get milky also with the irrigation water that comes on it if your lanai is open.

Our courtyard villa side walkway (done in Chattahoochee) is in full sun most of the day.
After about 2-1/2 years, it began to lose some of it's sparkle. It did not look bad, but I thought it was a good idea to have it resealed.
it's a pretty large area- the cost was $125.
We have, on a few occasions, had small patches of the white, hazy look you are describing. Sometimes, when the rains are heavy and the ground is too saturated for water to drain away, water collects in a small area for awhile. When the water drains away, mineral salts are left behind in that area- like mineral spots on your glassware.
Although they do not flush away using a hose, I have wiped these away easily- using a microfiber cloth saturated in a basin of vinegar water. No harder than wiping off a countertop. I pour plain water over it afterwards (to rinse the vinegar away) I have needed to do that twice so far on our walkway. Took just a few minutes…. there were only a few areas along the edge- where the walk borders a long planting bed. (this bed floods in heavy rain)
I keep some fairly large planter pots in our birdcage and rotate their location occasionally. I noticed a spot beneath one where minerals from fertilizer had drained. It too, WAS white and hazy. The vinegar treatment removed it- with no loss to the luster of the clear coat on the Chattahoochee rock beneath it.

Does anyone have Chattahoochee River Rock for flooring in your Lani?
I am interested on your comments as to the look, duribilty, strength and overall performance on this surface.
I was given the name of a contractor, Matt, that was recommended from a friend of a friend. Has anyone that has this product used Matt, and what is your take on him?
Thanks

Send a PM to Uptown Girl. She has it on lanai, and I know she likes it.

I like Matt Allums.
I like Chattahoochee River Rock.
We had it installed 4 years ago on the lanai, on the concrete walk along the side of the CYV, on the front porch and on the floor of the garage. We had the sidewalk and lanai resealed (they are in full sun) by Matt after about 3-1/2 years. The porch and garage did not need it.
I especially like having it in a garage.
Matt is a good guy.

Have had it in two houses, love the look & feel and it never looks dirty, yet is very easy to clean with a vacuum. Highly recommend it!
Matt installed ours on our Lanai 6 years ago. He did a great job and it looks as good now as when it was installed.
Go for it.

Matt installed it on my lanai 4 years ago and I love it. Have not had to reseal as the lanai is shady. Vacuuming and occasional power washing keeps it looking good.

Matt did our lanai and oversize concrete pad outside the lanai for the grill.
Great job, on time and quality work.

Is it terribly expensive?

The cost is by the square foot, most lanais are about $1000 or so, can't remember our exact price but we had an exterior pad done also.
Matt will give you a free estimate where he shows the color options and measures the square footage.
He did our estimate on a Monday and the install that same Thursday (not in high season).

Just had our large (20x26) cement patio covered with Chattahoochee River Rock. Looks great and wonderful company to work with. Very efficient, showed up on time, moved and replaced all furniture and really heavy fire pit. Looks great and we are really pleased. Thanks Matt.

The installer that installs, pressure washes and re-seals the Chattahoochee river rock here in The Villages is Matt Allums 352-253-0266. The name of his company is Chattahoochee river rock. Matt installed ours 8 years ago and he cleans and reseals ours every 2 years (which is recommended). He is very reasonable. Tell him Gary from Azalea Villas recommended him.
