I won't say anything negative about any DR here on a public forum. However, I would be hesitant to use a positive referral for a Dr, unless there are numerous referrals for him/her.
I went to a DR that had ONE positive referral posted here. The DR was almost imposible to understand, had no interest in anything but getting to the next patient, had not read anything in the info before going in the room, and ultimately knew very little of what he was talking about.
If a DR has numerous positive referals, maybe it works out better.....just be wary of the single review.

We have been very pleased with The Villages Health. This link is for the many Medical Centers. Look over the doctors. There is a little video for each one. Allowing you to judge if they have an accent.

If you look on top you will see the many Care Centers and their docs. Once you are in system , if you end up not liking your doctor, you can change.

Try Dr. Saul Rosenblum--director of the Santa Barbara VHS, if you can get in. He was my partner in our group practice and my doctor for 28 years in NY, and will be my Dr. again when I get to TV full time.

We have been pleased with Tasneem Cheema
And her brother Shabaz Cheema and Dr. Sara Gitte, all at Laurel Manor Office of Lakeview Internal Medicine. Excellent with geriatric patients and no difficulty with language.

There's a new Doctor in Laurel Manor @ Florida Heart and Vascular Multi-Specialty Group who is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. His name is Dr Robert Swietarski. He is a very good listener, and really focuses on you and your problems. 352-728-0066

We recommend Dr. Smita Ojha at Creekside Landing in LSL. She came highly recommended by another physician at Mullberry who was to be our PCP but took a position within the Villages Healthcare. I had a consult on some lab work and saw her again due to a back problem. Seemed to be very caring and was easy to understand. I say that after reading that some physicians were probably quite good in their field but hard to understand. So far, so good.

I would recommend Dr. Martinez Cruz! He is the nicest and most professional Doctor I have visited. He knows exactly what he is doing. His office is located next to The villages Regional Hospital. Office number 352-750-6650. Good Luck

I recommend Dr. Abrantes. Both my husband and I like her and I have recently discovered several women I golf with also use her. She's young, so she'll be around until we croak.

I do not wish to get into personal medical issues, but I am interested in why you are on your third primary.

I like and trust Dr. T. Cheema, but I think she relies too much on referrals and testing. Perhaps every doctor does that now, but I'd personally rather take a conservative approach and not be sent for a danged CT scan or X-ray or referred to a specialist for every single ailment. She used to be a hospitalist and perhaps it's her nature to"manage" patients rather than "treat" them herself. She is kind and listens but she also never remembers me even though I've seen her 6-7 times. :)
As for her practice, the offices are a little scuffed and showing their age, the waiting room is small and they have a lot of staff turnover. The front desk people can be hit or miss. I've had trouble in the past with prescriptions being called in wrong. I've never had the same nurse twice, but have no complaints about them. They have their own in-office lab and if you'd prefer to go to Quest or another outside lab, you'll need to specifically request it.

I would second Dr. Cruz, we got his name from TOV a little over a year ago and both myself and my wife would suggest you give him a try;ans if my wife says so you know it is right!!!
