View Full Version : Swimming Instructor
Hi...I am looking for a private swim instructor in The Villages in their home pool during the first two weeks of July for my two grandchildren ages 3 and 6.

I have no idea why your post came across as unsafe, but it did. Maybe I am reflecting on the past news stories of child molesters and that has skewed my view. I do not mean this as to come across as "you are wrong", I just wish to offer some caution.
I would be more comfortable with my grandchildren (if I ever get any) learning how to swim with a group of children, in a public area, by a certified instructor, and me and/or other parents being present during the lessons.
There are registered sex offenders in the Villages (and most other places), I would hate to hear of one of those having a pool, and taking advantage of your solicitation.
Again; I mean no disrespect to you and have no idea of your true level of caution.

Bub - I have grandchildren and would also like to find a swim instructor that would teach 2 children under 5 to swim. And Dirtbanker... I think every parent or grandparent would expect to attend the swimming lesson. So no opportunity for any "issues."

Certainly, if "every parent or grandparent" thought like us; the "opportunity" would not exist...

I dont know if this helps but a while ago a gym with a swimming pool was being built close to the villages. I don't know if it was completed yet or still in construction. Maybe someone on here would be able to tell you more as there were threads about it some months ago. Hope this might help.
