The round room, bottom (inside of the double pane) window shattered (picture enclosed). The outside pane is as good as new!!!! Custom Windows of Ocala is going to examine it, to determine if it should be replaced under warranty. Custom Windows installed all windows in the Villages homes. To me, it was caused by a flaw in the bottom pane. Has any one else had this happen to them? The house is just a bit over two years old. Thank you...

Did you call THEM first or did you call warranty first?
Always call warranty first. They are the ones holding the cards.

I would assume the glass is under warranty for a set period of time, unless you did something to alter (window film) or abuse (impact) the glass it would be covered. There appears to be no indication of impact on the broken pane (impact would result in spiderweb pattern of breakage, outward from impact point). You might want to look up (google) "spontaneous glass breakage" so you are versed when the inspector stops by.

I think the OP said "round room bottom." Not sure what that is. However some designer homes appear to have a round room out front.

Had that happen in my office in Atlanta. Yes it was a flaw in the window and it was replaced at no charge. Building was 8 years old.

I agree Chelly. AND I STILL don't know what a round room is.
We do have geographical differences in language not previously known by me.

OP had posted 2 threads on this topic. Other thread had a photo of the window.
Threads were merged today...so go back to the first post and you will see the photo.
