I am looking to find the daily Texas Holdem tournaments that are held each day in the rec centers. Was out to eat last night overheard a couple of guys at the bar talking about them. Just was not comfortable going up to them asking. Can anyone help with times, location and buyin?

I have played tournaments at Laurel Manor, Miona, and Colony at 5:30pm. Look in the calendar for a listing such as EB Cards.

I play in Colony Cottage Tuesdays at 5:30. There are many places to play. They can't advertise but are listed as EB Cards or open cards.

On Tuesday afternoons, there is an open game at Cocunut Cove Rec Center $11 buy in. ($10 for pot $1 for high hand) Get there about noon and sign in for game starts prompt at 12:15 limited to 24 players (2 tables), pays the top 3 or 4 depending upon the sign up. Done by 3:30 NLT 4pm. Regulars have preference in the game but in the summer there is always room for an additional player or 2.

Had a friend play yesterday at Laurel Manor. He was not happy. I guess the players were not very friendly to a new player. Looking for a more " friendly" game. Will probably try Mulberry next week.
