Is there any location in the area that has a fireworks display on the 4th of July?

Is there any celebration of the 4th of July in the Villages? I understand about the fireworks but it seems like they had tables set up at the squares and food booths and stilt walkers and bands before????

We have been enjoying checking into a Marriott somewhere and watching fireworks either from the holtel balcony or nearby the hotel.

Last year we did the Fourth at Tampa. Year before at Cocoa Beach. This year will be Savannah, Georgia. Combine the Fourth with a mini-vacation with another couple and have a great time.

I'd suggest calling the entertainment dept. Since the July calendars are not out yet, all you'll get here is 'speculation' and "I remember when's".

Things change !

Last year we went to the Ball game which was followed with the fireworks. Really a nice time and lots of friendly people to talk with. The Leesberg Lightening is a college summer leaque. It's good ball with teams from central Florida. The ball players are mostly from Florida schools but some from far off. Fireworks were arguably the best in The area.

Leesburg & Mt. Dora are the best 4th celebrations locally.
