Palmer Restaurant Bad Experience

New management...bad. Every Sunday around 2PM a friend and I meet in the bar for lunch. At that time, the table we sit at is always available. Today I walked in to the restaurant bar. ONE other table was occupied and 4 at the bar. The new hostess said we couldnt sit at our VACANT table because there was no wait staff assigned there yet...God forbid the person assigned to the table that she seated us wait on is elsewhere since ALL tables open. After waiting 15 minutes and not one person showed up- still no drinks or even water, the manager came out of the kitchen. We got his attention, and he said he would get us drinks...after about 10 more minutes, we got up and went elsewhere. Bad service, bad managing, bad hostessing. Very disappointed in mew managing especially at Palmer.

I do know that certain areas are assigned to certain servers. Perhaps that server was due in soon?

Sounds strange indeed since most restaurants close off sections during slow periods. Never had an issue with Palmer. No hostess will seat customers where there's no wait staff.
