Congress Summer Break

Anyone care to guess whether they will go on summer break with NO ACTION on energy independence bill?

If they do go with no action which is the most likely scenario, it will certainly underscore Pelosi, Reid and the entire Congress' thumbing their nose, once again, against the wishes of a growing majority in this country....any poll taken in recent weeks is minimally at 70% or better for action to be taken.....now.

The gathering majority includes the folks in the states bordering areas to be drilled in....contrary to the past they too are in that majority.

Remember it is not just drilling...it is all the actions proposed.

A point of interest, for the first time I heard a good response to the Dem's ongoing grind of why aren't the big oil companies that already have leases in the infamous 60,000,000 acres.....drilling yet.

The point is other oil companies that DO NOT have leases in the alleged area. They are ready to go as soon as the coastal drilling is approved. And many of them are already operating in those areas and are close to and ready begin.

All we get to hear about is the big guys....who are not motivated to increase supply......and whether one agrees with additional drilling or not...there is one simple fact that cannot be ignored....None of the non oil based alternatives are short term solutions. During their gestation, oil consumption will only continue to increase. The supply and capacity must be increased or today's unpopular pricing will be yesterday's good news in the near future.

Write your representatives and tell them to pass an energy bill before they go on their next junket!!!

:agree: :agree: Congress will go on break with out addressing an energy Independence bill. It doesn't matter which side of this coin your on, the fact that they refuse to take any action either for or against should cause EVERYONE to realize how inept our congressional leadership and ALL members are.

And why do they do this? Because they know they can. And all of us, the people that give them power are apathetic and will return them to their current jobs. And until as voters we refuse to accept their total incompetence they will continue to ignore us. They are up for election every two years and almost all of them will get reelected. Shame on all of us. We deserve what we get from them.

And the Congessional "leadership" wonders why their approvel rating is lower than the President. Watch CSPAN sometime and it will make you ill.

They dont care about the ratings, in the end they keep getting re-elected. We, the people are the responsible and deserve what we get for our apathy and laziness.

Today Nancy Pelosi is bucking the trend of the desires of her constituency, as well as many party members.
She is now confirming once again her personal beliefs, goals and objectives are far more a priority than the American people she continues to try to bluff.
She has said it before and she is demonstrating it again....she if against anything the other party is for....and would vote against anything they would promote.

This is what happens when unilateral power is bestowed upon someone who does not have the ability to negotiate...negotiation by it's very definition requires compromise.

Her record and the congress she leads that lets her get away with it are the classic politician...smiling and lying right to ones face.

I guess each party has it's clunkers.

The woman needs to be taken to task for being what she is labeled by her own media and party....A ROADBLOCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Those who are flapping their gums about change better be sure to take a look at the ROADBLOCKS.

Ms. Pelosi will be re-elected, just like many other Democrats and Republicansl, all for one reason - they have been in so long they know better how to find and deliver pork back home. They could all declare themselves as Socialists today and it would make no difference - once in a few times makes for being there forever.
