Would never recommend Spent $500 2years ago.thing is now rusted out and the grease falls through onto the propane tank. I EVEN BOUGHT THE 3 year WARRANTY!! Called them. They send out repairman. Claim denied as they only cover rust for 90 days. Never will walk into a SEARS store again. BUY A WEBER

Yes, the good old days when Craftsman tools were high quality tools appears to be long gone. Even sockets, screw drivers, etc., are made in China. We are looking for a grill, must be all stainless steel, looking at Sam's Club.

Webers are still made in the US. Trying to talk my husband into springing for one, as the all s/s grill we bought in HD (Charm-something?) spazzed out in a couple of years and never did get hot enough to sear meat.

I buy gas grills at Lowes or Home Depot when they are on sale. I think $150 for a 3 burner, 35 to 40K BTU grill is plenty of money to spend for a grill. I usually get 4 or so years out of them. But my grilling needs are simple. The grills I buy probably won't work for those who grill often.

This is a prime example of, you get what you pay for. We bought our last Weber in 1993. Our daughter and son inlaw are still using it. They are pricy, but does it cook well.

Is it propane, or charcoal?

a weber 3 burner propane grill will set you back $500. plus $50 more for a filled tank.

I would still like to know what the 1993 Weber grill is, propane or charcoal. We had a couple of charcoal grills (not Weber) last many years, but not our $200 propane grills.

I have owned at least six gas grills, none of them held up for more than a year and all were unsatisfactory, including two Webers

Find out why they didn't cover rust. Rust is only warranted a short time on the regular warranty but it should be included in the extended warranty! Keep calling. The service person we talked to on the phone tried telling me some of our parts weren't covered but when I pushed it they were. We got a $399 credit towards any grill. I would never buy one without the warranty.

The key cleaning the grill and storage out of the weather. Especially under the burners. I use to pressure wash mind at least two time year. Only thing didn't last was the flame covers and maybe the igniter. But most you can buy parts for. Most parts are universal.

Our 1993 Weber is a gas. Replaced burners, grates, and flavor bars twice in those years.

Bought a Weber 3 burner gas grill in 1991 and replaced the grate and flavor bars once, after about 7 - 8 years. It was in need of having them replaced again and we decided to give it away when we moved here from MA. As far as I know they were replaced, and it's still going strong. When we bought our house here in TV, we got another 3 burner gas Weber at Lowes, and if I remember correctly, the assembly and delivery was free. I think their customer service folks are in Wisconsin, and they have been fantastic to deal with the few times I've called and ordered parts.

Bought a Kenmore Grill in 2007 for around $200. No rust, no leaking, cooks well. Keep it outside with a cover on. No need for any replacement parts. I wouldn't pay $500 for a grill unless it would serve a second car.
