Another look into the real priorities of Obama:

404 Not Found (http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/06/10/obama-cracks-down-on-airplane-emissions-buys-massive-new-air-force-on)

After doing a little research on airframe life cycles....what would you guess in years?

source: Boeing

"For long haul aircraft, that make relatively few cycles, the design lifespan is in the order of 40.000 cycles. For short haul the number is higher, sometimes up to 110.000 cycles.

For example, the Boeing 747 has a design number of cycles of 35.000, the MD-80 has 110.000.

An aircraft should be operable for about 30 years before reaching the cycle limit. The lifetime can be stretched by special inspection and maintenance programs. "

All one can say is....seriously???? With less than 2 years to go? Seriously?????

I know there are practical people even among the Obama supporters that would question such an extravagance? Air Force One is not suitable for Obama?

He is truly in a class by himself.

Shep Smith was talking about this today on his show. It is being brought to the floor of the Senate to allow the former Presidents (beginning with Obama) to use one of the three new official Air Force One planes for their personal use anytime they wish. It means when Obama leaves the White House in 2017, he can (will) use the huge jumbo jet with all the perks on it for free when he and his family go on one of their extravegent vacations still on the taxpayer's dime.

This is going to be an amendment the Democrats tack on to some key Republican bill that will have to go through and get a yea vote.

The current Ar Force One is a 747-200 from 1991. Any new Air Force Ones won't be in service until 2023.

is a very good example of an opportunity for we the people to see if our so called, representatives, in fact are.

Simple subject. Not a lot of expertise required about anything other than it is just wrong.

Write every representative in Washington to vote no for a new plane and a no vote for past presidents use of AF-1.

Why bother? $200,000 plus, PLUS per hour of operation????
Throw away a perfectly good one they have????

This is a subject that the poor and the regular folks in America can speak out against waste and uncalled for spending.
I for one, as usual will write to my representatives. I will also write to Obama (waste of time as he does not represent me....he represents Obama).

How many will actually rise up and take ANY action? My guess? Much less than 20%. Too many indifferent....or don't care.

At some point in time there has to be an uprising in America over something that enough is enough.

And this is not a partisan issue. It is a common sense issue.....at some point before it becomes too late.

I also saw that segment on Shepard Smith's show today and am flabbergasted. Why should the former president be allowed to use one of the AF-1's as their private jumbo jet for vacations? And why would not this be extended to presidents before Obama?

Anyhow, as Shep explained it, the amendment is tacked onto a key Republican finance bill and cannot be removed without scuttling tne whole thing. It looks like a done deal and it is being hidden from the voters. Well, Obama has won another battle for himself.

How about an opinion from one of our blue/democratic/Obama supporters. Do you think Obama and his family should use of AF1 as a private jet? Do you think he is self centered and oblivious of what we the people think or care about?

You all certainly can not be of the ilk that no matter what he does .....is OK....hopefully not.

Definitely, we all should make phone calls right away to Sen. Rubio's office and Rep. Rich Nugent's office to show our opposition to Obama getting free usage of AF-1 for vacations after he is out of office.

Dear Guest: It has been my experience that those at the top protect one another's perks after all their entitled. The same applies to politicians and so greed, corruptions, privilege abound and so there is an unspoken understanding that I'll take what is mine and you take what is yours. They do because they can and they can because no one can stop them. Two of the greedest are Clintons and Obama's. The Obama's spending on self has raised many an eyebrow these past seven years...and to think past presidents never would even think to trade on their names once they left the White House

Disgust is what I feel toward such people and remember the word disgust has more meaning because disgust is one of the few emotions that has to be learned.

Personal Best Regards:

This is interesting....

CNN Special: President Obama Will Keep Air Force One After Leaving Office

Says It Will Be Perfect For Personal, Business Travel

President Barack Obama has signed an executive order transferring ownership of Air Force One to himself as of 1200 EST on January 20th 2017.*

“The American People should be proud to have me continuing to travel in the manner to which I’ve become accustomed,” President Obama said in remarks prior to the signing ceremony. “Since I’m Constitutionally prohibited from serving a third and fourth term, and I’m unlikely to figure out how to circumvent that prohibition, I’ll just take the airplane. The American people owe me that much. I’m just saving taxpayers money by eliminating that whole “government surplus auction” step for this asset.”

It was announced last year that Boeing would be building the next Air Force One on a 747 platform, and the new airplane will now likely be placed at top of the list for the planemaker. SPEEA Executive Director Ray Goforth said that his members would be more than willing to step up to the plate and fast-track the next AF-1 to give Obama the old one. “We built that thing years ago,” Goforth said. “It’s an older model the next President deserves a newer aircraft. Obama’s always been our guy. Let’s send him off in Boeing style.”

“Executive orders are great. I can do almost anything,” President Obama was overheard to say as he signed the document. “What a great way to go golfing in my retirement. This will turn heads on the ramp.”

The Republican Congressional Leadership publicly fumed, but did little to stop the move. Legislation was introduced to prevent the transfer, but they could not muster the votes to pass it. “We’d get accused of shutting down the government somehow if this is blocked,” said House Majority Leader John Boehner (R-OH), “and that’s what we fear the most.”

Even though the above post is from an April Fool writing....in jest

it is no coincidence how his past actions, behavior and attitude match perfectly with the spirit and intent of the writing in jest.

The proposed legislation tacked onto the Republican Finance Bill is no joke. If we the people do not contact our senators and representatives, the above April Fool joke will become reality - made into law with our Congress help and not by Executive Orders.

Pretty typical the last few years.

Add something that you know is untenable, then when the proposal is defeated just yell...look, they want to shut down the government.

Reid has made this his trademark.

Past Presidents have said that the #1 perk they miss is Air Force One. That being said, since the new aircraft won't be available until 2023 it would be nice to see some references to the private use of the plane. I like Shep Smith but would like to see something a little more concrete.

the only thing(s) in Washington that will ever meet that criteria...the sidewalks and memorials!!!!

What makes it funny is that, even though it's a spoof, it's actually plausible given his imperial tendencies ... :)

Congress and all its staff have not even attempted to solve any of the serious problems facing our country. That is where I see the most govt waste.

When we have a Republican President in 2016, I believe he will have the opportunity to use AF-1 also. Will someone from the villages volunteer to track its usage?
