Not disgusting. I'd call this venue successful.

I am guessing that they were NOT sold ahead of time to privileged insiders, but legitimately bought and there is no conspiracy.

I am glad to hear that this new addition to The Villages is working well. That the tickets are sold out and that folks will be sitting in the seats.

I thought tickets go on sale at 8:30 when the Box Office opens

What venue was sold out so quickly? I got Michael Bolton tickets and they were sold out by 10:30.

Do online sales or sales thru a local Ticket Office that opens at 0830 have any impact? If you waited to call the Main Ticket/Event Office at 9, a popular event might very well have been sold out by then. I don't think ticket brokers are involved with any events at this venue, so it's probably a combo of online and sales thru local Ticket Offices.

Bought ours at 8:30 AM online......good seats no issues. I don't think waiting for something you want to see is a good strategy. Not sure where the 9AM comes in to play since box offices and online open at 8:30.

I agree with you and some people are being cheated of an opportunity. Let's level the playing field. I got the feeling that someone with connections is buying blocks of tickets before hand

Try going online to purchase. It's easy and you can see what tickets are available..

I am stil wondering what venue was sold out at 9:00. Perhaps the choice seats were gone at nine but you can purchase online earlier. Perhaps that needs to be made clear in the advertisements.

Probably a tour company that has bus parking in Leesburg :)

With the seating capacity of only 1000, the seats could sell very quickly if offered at 8:30 before the box office opens. I doubt if wholesellers are buying blocks of tickets.

I agree. I have bought tickets to several venues online and got good seats. Yes, they were sold out quickly but not unreasonable for popular shows. I really don't think there is a plot against us regular Villagers. I don't "know" anyone nor have any special connections but have been pleased with my seats.

Both the Box Offices and Online open at 8:30. The box offices close at 3PM. Since we don't know what show the OP was after, if it is was at the Sharon, it had to be Michael Bolton since his is the only show that is currently sold out. I also would believe he could sell out in less than 30 minutes in TV which would be the case if the OP called at 9 AM. There are a bunch of the Camp Villages programs that are sold out. Doesn't look like any of the shows at the Savannah Center are sold out. Guess the "snooze you lose" applies and treat it as a learning experience.
