Walking/running group

My wife and I are new part time residents. She would like to find a group to walk/run with. She keeps training for 5K run/walks at home. Any help will be appreciated.

I see a lot of walker/runners everywhere, but few groups, and maybe that is a safe-er thing on the multi-modal paths..
