Does anyone go to sandals resorts? They always look beautiful. Are they mostly younger honeymoon couples or older couples celebrating anniversaries?

We haven't been to Sandals but we have been to Couples (they have 4 resorts on Jamaica) several times. Nice mix of ages.

Been to Sandals once. Been to Couples 38 times!! We didn't care for the Sandals concept at all. couples we loved.

Have over 100 nights. Haven't been this year except for a day pass in St. Lucia. They are a mixed age group. Some young some old.I like going to Jamaica. Went to one in St. Lucia in Jan. while on a cruise didn't want to leave.
My Favorites :
Sandals Whitehouse in Jamaica longer ride but great place. ALL rooms face the Ocean.
Sandals Antigua old & new sections. Stayed & Played in the new sections ate most night on the older side,
Sandals La Toc St Lucia went in Jan. for a day. Nice property, BIG pool, on the Beach, very friendly. Would like to return soon.
Have found that the younger ones don't bother you unless they see you want to be involved in activities or games.

I have always been amazed at the number of couples who have been to Couples multiple times. There are always a lot of people at the Repeater's Dinner.

went to Sandals in Nassua, Bahamas last year. Very nice, but it was loaded with newlyweds.

We kinda felt out of place.

That is why I asked. Would love to try but not with all newlyweds?

Went t St. Lucia, mixed ages. Very nice. Went to Couples Ocho Rios and Swept Away. Both very nice. Swept Away much more laid back.

Would go back to couples over Sandals.

I forgot to add.....young, skinny, bikini, some topless....but hubby said that was only allowed on there island....newlyweds.

I'm not a prude, much.....but if i wore a thong and topless, people wouldn't look, they would run.....

Just ran into woman at gym today who said she's going to sandals and has been before. She said 70% are not young couples?? Could this be true? They went to St Lucia one, now going to montego bay also I don't mind sitting around pool but really need shade to sit in. Is there shade around the pools?? Looking through brochures, I don't see any??

You can go on their website and do a live chat. Just have your questions ready. They are very helpful.

But bonny then I would probably be talking with sales Representative who will tell me everything I want to hear. Better to speak to people who have been there recently for reliable information

We went to the Sandals in Ocho Rios and it was mainly honeymooners and lots of young people attending destination weddings. Very unimpressed with the food and beach. Would never go back.

Really? How long ago? I was told St Lucia is beautiful and lots of restaurants to choose from?

Sandals markets heavily to the honeymoon crowd and tends to be, in my opinion, pricey.

Ocho Rios there were a lot of mediocre restaurants. We should have realized a 65% discount was because people were not going there. The place was surrounded by fences topped with barbed wire and there were armed guards. Honestly, never ever again to Ocho Rios. St. Lucia could be a lot better. If we went to an all inclusive it would be Couples.

If you like a perfect beach and a laid back atmosphere then Couples Swept Away on the west coast of Jamaica is worth considering. They also have an excellent sports facility and a great martini bar. We have been there once and are going back again in the fall.
