Friend thinking about replacing furnace and air conditioner with a Trane system. Quoted a two stage gas heat furnace. Anyone have one of those? I thought they were more for cold climates.

Also, has high efficiency continuous fan mode. Doesn't that run the electric bill running the fan all the time?

Has Comfort-R that is supposed to be some special feature that is good at removing humidity. Old a/c removed humidity. Anyone have this? Can't see how this could be better.

Your opinions? Like to find someone who has one of these type of systems to see what they think. Don't want to buy more than what I really need, if it isn't that great.

For the 30 hours a year(Ok maybe 100 hours) that a furance is run,I would not invest alot of money in a high end furance.TV is not northwest Maine were the furance runs from Sept 15 to June 1.Go cheap on the furance and use the money saved to upgrade the AC.
Feb 2014 was a cold month by TV standards. We only ran the heat for one or two hours in the morning on maybe 10 days.
