Having ongoing lawn problems. Does anyone know a company or individual who does core, not spike aeration?

Just a suggestion, Dad had a large patches in front and back. He takes screwdriver and pokes holes about every 6 inches. He then hand waters once a day. On the third day he pokes some more holes. After 10 days brown patches were gone.

Not a bad suggestion, but this amounts in practical terms to spike aeration which I have already done. I live south of 466A and have a high clay content to the soil, probably compacted, as well as a likely high pH. The University of Florida agricultural liason suggested core aeration with organic compost top dressing (similar to most golf courses) to help loosen the top layer of soil.

Adam Neusbaum does core airation and top dressing using a courser sand and compost. 342-1384
