What's the weather like in TV today or wherever you are?

Today in southern Oregon the air is very smokey from the fires in California. Otherwise, it's sunny and dry and hot, in the mid-90s. It's extreme fire season now and many restrictions apply for outdoor burning and power tools in the garden.

What are you doing to stay cool?

Coney,

It has been absolutely beautiful here in Upstate N.Y. this summer. Lots of sunshine(which is unusual in this part of the country), mid 80's by day and 60's at night. Im trying to find something to complain about but it sure isnt the weather! LOL

beautiful here in Syracuse too. We're about an hour north of Nonie and it couldn't be better.

About the same here in New England (MA); nice warm, low humidity days and cool nights with an occasional electrical storm or downpour.

Here in Norcal the smoke has left after about a month - been here 35 years and this is the first year it has been like this! Thunderstorm on forecast for tomorrow which is a real rarity; it hardly ever rains in the summer. Temp in mid to low 80's in Bay Area and the humidity not an issue.

I am in New Hampshire right now......temp 64.....raining and dismal.

We actually have the wood stove going to keep the chill off and dry out the air.

Unfortunately the summer here has been mostly wet and cool. I haven't made it to the beach yet :'( :'(

However, the lobster is beyond delicious and the chowda to die for....plan on eating lots more while here.

Beady, that sounds sort of nice. After Crispers, I might just gather up Mr Samhass and head to Pa for a couple of weeks. He can get on his big old John Deere and play in the woods. We have stoned/chipped trails through our place. The Deere has a 60'' bucket on the front. He takes wood chips out in the bucket and dumps on the trails so they stay nice and woodsy looking. I have planted thousands of perennials. It might be nice to go take a look at them. It's a little toasty here right now.

It was 71 on my screened porch here in Ohio this morning and it was unusually cooler and pleasant yesterday for a picnic we always look forward to.
Sweetie played golf yesterday and is out today in much cooler and less humid weather than usual here. However there has been a lack of rain and my new weeping willow is looking droopy and I have to turn on the sprinkler. The birds wondered what happened to the feeders while we were in Paradise last week so I had better fill them too. Our kitties think that they must have dreamed that they took two 14 hour trips in a cage, saw palm trees from another screened porch and really different birds. I am still waking up thinking I am in Hadley.

It is 60 degrees here right now, but is supposed to get up to 71 degrees today. Bright and sunny though! I have all the windows open to air out the house. Nice to not have the air conditioner on today.

OMG..... it's gonna be 106 degrees in my area today and tomorrow and similar temps through mid-next week! Of course, there's no humidity..... BUT - THAT's :edit: HOT !

Gotta go outside & water the plants before they croak 8)

I see on the weather report, there's some nasty weather in most of Florida ::)
