I POSTED IN NEW MEMBERS - THEN THOUGHT MAYBE MORE RESPONSES FROM THIS FORUM...

Hi to all - I have been reading for several weeks now. My wife and I found The Villages a little over a year ago and have since stopped by 3 different times while visiting family on the gulf. We have liked all seen and are now deciding on the style of home we most like (along with can afford). Neither of us feels like we want to give up a car, but do want a golf car as well. I have been looking only at homes that have 2 car/golf car setup. Is there anyone on here that has two cars along with a golf car and utilizes just a 2 car garage?

Thanks very much.

KY,

We have 2 full size cars and a golf cart in a 2 car garage. However our garage is extended by 4 feet in length and was pretty big to begin with. We simply pull the golf cart in behind one of the cars and park it sideways. We've had 2 golf carts and 2 cars in there but that's way too much jostling around.

For a standard size garage, it would probably be pretty tight unless both cars were smallish.

I'm working on Mr 07 to get a second golf cart and ditch one of the cars. That, to me, is the optimal setup...1 car and 2 golf carts....at least, for our lifestyle needs. Then, we'll have plenty of room in the garage.

We have a DeVille, golf cart and a Smart Car. All fit in a 2 stall garage.

We have a Honda Accord and Mini Cooper and the golf car, A Yamaha, will squeeze in behind the Mini with six inch's or so to spare in a standers size garage.

We are also not ready to give up two cars. In our garage we have two cars, a golf cart and a motorcycle, but it is a real tight fit. If I had to do over again I would definitely have a house with a golf cart garage.

we also have the extended garage, with have 1 regular sized vehicle, plus f150 pu truck, extended bed and cab, plus a golf cart parked behind the car, it's a little tight but works fine for us.
