My family has been heavily impacted by Parkinson's Disease...my brother, my uncle and just recently a close cousin was diagnosed. None are in TV, but since I've been looking for ways to volunteer, and I have strong feelings about the disease, I finally put two-and-two together and realize it would give me some personal satisfaction if I could volunteer in a way somehow related to Parkinson's.

Sooo...I'm wondering if there are any Parkinson's groups in TV who could use any volunteer help? Patient assistance...fund raising efforts...anything at all. I would just like to contribute to Parkinson's efforts somehow.

Thanks.

I heard about a group at Church on Sunday. The sermons are posted Online during the week. As soon the info is available, I will post it.

My apologies. The support group discussed was Alzheimers.

Maybe you could help with the men's meeting. I know they had donuts and coffee. Sadly, my dear husband, was unable to get up and get his own donut and coffee and no one even offered to help. Of course, the only reason I knew was because I was kidding him asking how many donuts he ate. Although not a big deal, it did break my heart that no one at his table offered or knew any better?
