Where is the best place to get extra set of house keys made. I have try Ace Hardware twice and both times the keys won't work. So today I had Home Depot to make them and also they didn't work. Not sure where to go now.

I usually go to Ace or Lowe's. Have had occasional problems with ace. So far, have been lucky with Lowe's.

Home Depot or Lowe's.....................looks like about the same machine. Not like the old days where a 16 year old kid was grinding them out.

I've never had any trouble with duplicates made at Walmart.

Double check the key you are using to have duplicates made, if it is a key you use all the time, it might be worn enough to not get a good copy. If you have an unused key, try duplicating that one. I have run into this problem up North.
Hope this helps.
PS had good luck with Ace Hardware in Wildwood.

Had 3 duplicate keys made at Ace in Wildwood and all worked just fine. I duplicated keys as a sixteen year old - it really isn't rocket science, but even rocket science has it's failures!

We had keys made for house at Ace and at Home Depot. They would work in the Dorelach but not the deadbolt. I finally gave up after many sets and found who locksmith was for home from the villages. He came out and found out there was something wrong with our deadbolt and changed the entire lock system it wasn't the keys being made it was the locks.
