Went to see "Love and Mercy" at the Rialto Theater today, and what a great movie. It is about Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, and his struggles with a mental disorder. Whether or not you are a Beach Boys fan the story of his amazing talent, his personal struggles, and his efforts to get to a somewhat normal life, are well worth seeing. Somewhat of a sleeper but highly recommended. :BigApplause::BigApplause:

Saw it a few weeks ago and thought it was great. In fact it inspired me to start reading a book called "Catch a Wave" about Brian Wilson. Incredibly interesting life story.

A friend of mine is a huge Brian Wilson fan....I enjoy some Beach Boys music but am not a huge fan. Saw this movie and thought it was great. I have a different perspective on Brian Wilson and his music after seeing the movie.

We saw it a couple of weeks ago here in Birmingham, and it's by far the best movie of the year. I've been a lifelong Beach Boys fan and had kept up with Brian's life over the years, so I kind of knew what to expect. My fiancé had little prior knowledge about his personal life so it was pretty shocking & heartbreaking for her......she cried through the whole movie, I think. It's really amazing how he was able to create his wonderful music considering all the struggles he had to endure. Paul Dano and John Cusack were wonderful in their portrayals of Brian, and of course there is plenty of classic Beach Boys music. It was a great, great film. Highly recommend it.

Quite a number of years ago I read Brian's autobiography, "Wouldn't It Be Nice". Then I read he claim's the book is fiction! Interesting life indeed!

I thought it was a great movie. Sad he went through all that.

As someone who knew the music but nothing about the life of the Beach boys, I found the movie confusing and boring. I walked out with a ton of unanswered questions and wish I knew or read a book on Brian prior to seeing the movie. Definitely not a movie I enjoyed

I saw the movie and liked it, but I read the book on Brian Wilson years ago and I think that helped. The movie does bounce around alot. After the movie was over I heard a few people saying on the way out they found it confusing.

Very confusing, boring and I wouldn't recommend for those who know nothing about Brian's life and even if I had , i still don't think I would have enjoyed it. I would rather have seen Inside out, a cartoon
For me, I wouldn't even give one star. That bad
