I've been feeding these little guys for 20 years. Used to really relax me after a day at the office. Listen close and you can hear them. Also at the beginning notice the wasp. I've seen them both attack each other. These little guys are very territorial. And NO FUMAR they don't taste like chicken. ENJOY !!!!

Thanks 16, I love hummingbirds. They used to fly all around all my flowers, they are so beautiful, can't believe how fast their wings move. They are incredible. Thanks again.

I know Talk Host Jan said he's seen them around his Hibiscus. I guess I'll hang a feeder out back and see what I can attract. Hmmm! Have to check the rules first though.

I have only seen a hummingbird once in my life. I want to try to entice some to visit me here!! F-16, what do you use in your hummingbird feeders. They sure seem to like it!! Thanks for the video!!

I don't have a hummingbird feeder but they do like my hibiscus and crepe myrtles that bloom all summer here in Ark. So I am hoping they will like them too in Florida. Great video 16 Thanks.

Ronda others may say something else but this has ALWAYS worked for me. Never wash the feeder with soapy water. I just rinse them with hot water. Mixture consists of 1 part sugar with 3 parts water. So if you've got a 2 cup feeder fill to 1/2 cup line with sugar & top off to 2 cup line with HOT tap water. Stir the mixture until sugar dissolves. I then put a drop or 2 of red food coloring in the empty feeder before pouring in sugar water. That's really for my own benefit so I can see the levels easier. I now buy sugar in 10 lb bags. Let me know if they start showing up. Once you get them started they'll return year after year. Kinda like the Swallows of Spanish Springs or the Buzzards of Lake Sumter Landing. Or something like that. ;D

In Michigan we have fed the hummingbirds for years. Like F16, we have always had many come to feed.
This summer we planted a firebush outside our lanai here in The Villages because it is known for attracting hummingbirds. We also put a feeder nearby. I waited and waited all summer and no hummingbirds! I was so disappointed.

They're in the area but are probably set in a routine where they feed regularly. I've posted this before. Interesting info re their migrating.
