Last week my wife and I were down to TV for a lifestyle preview visit. A couple of times we went out to eat after 8pm (at Toojays and RJ Gators) and noticed that both restaurants closed at 9PM.
Sometimes my wife and I like to go out to eat after 9PM. We noticed the town squares seemed to close up at 9PM. Are any restaurants open later? What about the restaurants in the shopping centers? Are any of them open later than 9PM?

My husband and I ran into the same problem when we were there visiting. We are late eaters also. We figured that our lifestyle will probably change when we move down there, and that eating earlier will be somewhat forced on us as we socialize. I'm sure we will get used to it, and it will probably be better for our health. Maybe we can start a late eaters club!

We would also like to have more restaurants and rec centers open later at night.

Hmmm… a late eaters club. Might be a good idea. Only problem is first we would have to find some good restaurants that are open late.

I also prefer eating late, and will miss having places to go. :'( We can only hope that as more baby boomers relocate to TV, local businesses will adapt to the young(er) folks later hours.

My wife and I saw some people at Urban Flats outside at the bar when we were there last week. We didn’t know if the restaurant was serving food or if it was just a bar crowd.

Thanks for the information. I guess there are some places that stay open late. You just have to look around to find them.
Urban Flats and The Lighthouse at both in Lake Sumter Landing. Wonder if there is anything in Spanish Springs or the surrounding shopping centers open later?

CiCi's, the new pizza/pasta/salad buffet (and you can get carryout too) is open til 10pm most nights and 11 on Fri and Sat night....another late night option.
In Spanish Springs you have the Villages own Katie Belles, Bourbon Street & Marguerita Republic; all open after 9PM. All with entertainment!

Ruby Tuesdays is also open late and when we were there all the drinks were 2 for 1!!!!
No entertainment but food and drinks are not bad.
We searched the town squares also... not ready to roll up the carpet at 9PM!

OK. Great. Thanks for the information everyone.
It looks like there are some places if you just know where to look. I’m keeping a list of all these so that the next time that I am in TV I’ll know where to go to get something to eat later at night.

Appleby's is open until midnight during the week and then I think until 2am on Friday and Saturday nights. It is one of the few places that stays open late....everything else around Lady Lake and Leesburg rolls up and shuts down by about 9pm....even on the weekends...lol
Of course if you've ever been to Appleby's about 11pm during the week you'd probably wonder why they were even open....2 or three tables at the most, so I think it's more of a corportate thing than the fact that they actually make any money staying open so late. I always get great service by eating there so late and the food has always been fresh. Now all you night owls will have a place to meet if you're hungry and you can't sleep!

At some point, the management of TV decided to follow the "early to bed, early to rise" theme. Most Recreation Centers schedule exercise activities starting at 7 AM. Incredible to me that people actually start exercising when I'm still asleep. And the majority of restaurants close early. In the morning, when I am rubbing sleep from my bleary eyes, I look out the window and see many golfers cheerily pulling their clubs along. That exhausts me so much I have to return to my bed.
The second night we were "in residence" in TV, we decided to go out to eat around 9:30 pm. We visited six restaurants in the Southern Trace area and were astonished to find them closed up tighter than a drum.
Yep, the Villages Lifestyle is definitely designed for early birds. One of my most exciting moments (yes, I do need more excitement in my life), happened when I went on TOTV at 3 AM and found there were 30 other peeps on also!
