Give me one good reason why we need more immigration laws, we have enough now to do what needs to be done if they would do it. Bottom line il-legals are just what they are why do we need to let them be citizens/ Work visa ok but not voting rights.Pay taxes yes and follow our laws. All this is talk is only to get votes.

It is so very obvious. We need more and more illegals here - and give them the immediate right to vote - so their votes will cancel out votes from people like you.:loco: thank you for asking.

One would think that the GOP would be inclined to pass comprehensive immigration reform so that they could reap some of those votes.

So we can all appreciate the suggestion just what does comprehensive immigration reform do, mean or suggest.
The current laws on the books have worked for many years. And the current laws on the books work fine for all the other entry ports into the USA except those bordering Mexico.

So just exactly what would comprehensive immigration reform provide the latinos coming in illegally that they cannot get from following the current laws?

If you cannot answer the question or do not know then STOP beating the party drum!

Whomever this poster might be....he/she can only be called a party hack.

If you want retorts, the Bush attempt, stifled....the current scenario wher Boehner killed it...either my way accepting my mandate or I will veto it, no matter what is in it.

However, the problem is not one that gets solved that way. There needs to be a discussion, without the calling of names, and that has to start with ENFORCE THE LAWS WE HAVE PRESENTLY, and...ENFORCE BORDER RESTRICTIONS.

I agree, protecting our borders has absolutely nothing to do with politics. It's just plain common sense.

Many of us agree and are frustrated at the lack of the will of the people to come forward and end this very stupid political game that will in fact take down the USA as most of us know and love and swore to protect!

Our current immigration laws do not work for all other entry ports. There are plenty of Asians that are illegals. They overextended the work permits or visas. Unless, of course, they walked across the Pacific Ocean to get here.

President Obama is the only one with veto rights. If you gave him the bipartisan Senate bill in 2012, he would have signed it. The Republican House is currently the one that has taken the stance it is my way or nothing. One Republican stated, "Give us everything we want, and we will call that a comprise."

Concerning the possible future votes of illegal when they become citizens, what difference does in make? I think it will be 10+ years in the future. If future (2016 is the future) Republican hopefuls need the Hispanic vote, why upset them more? You want to lose keep up the hard line on immigration.

How can anyone in the right mind say that the current immigration laws are working? If it waiting list is so long for Hispanics to get here through legal means, maybe they should increase the number of people that can here legally. They are here, and the overwhelming majority are following our laws no matter what Trump thinks.

What was wrong with Obama's executive order other the man to made it?

There are hundreds of Hispanics arriving monthly from Puerto Rico who will be eligible to vote in the 2016 presidential election for the first time, because they are United States citizens. Many of them are arriving at Orlando International Airport. What is there in the republican platform that would make them want to vote for the GOP?

Voto Latino: Millennials have the power to rock the Hispanic vote - The Washington Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/she-the-people/wp/2014/11/03/voto-latino-millennials-have-the-power-to-rock-the-hispanic-vote/)

According to Pew Research, 66,000 Latinos are turning 18 every day making them eligible to vote, and this will continue through the next two decades.

These are young people already living here and citizens, so no need to worry about illegals entering.

Constitution forbade it !!!

And please...instead of "lets talk"...it is either validate what I did which I know I couldn't do but did anyway, or else....my way or the highway

Whether the Constitution forbids or not that is still to be determined. Isn't that executive action that the Republicans are challenging in the court system? The outcome will be determined after he leaves office.

I mentioned the Senate bipartisan immigration bill of 2012. That should be 2013. The House sat on the bill a long time, but not that long. So sorry..

Obama still isn't blatantly arrogant as the House member who stated, "Give us everything we want, and we will it a comprise." Your comment about Obama is kind of funny. Odds were that if Senate immigration bill hit the floor it would have passed. The House Republicans aren't driving down a highway. They are driving down a lovely one way street
