We got a new laptop with Windows Vista as the operating system. We found out that our Microsoft Office software will not work with Vista, and that they expect you to buy it all over again. We were told by a friend that there is a website you can go to and download office software that will work with Vista for free. Here is the website:

http://www.openoffice.org/

This product is working great for us! You can save your documents in Word, Excel or Powerpoint form so that you can send them and others can still open them. And you are able to open Word, Excel and Powerpoint programs. Hope this helps someone else!

The only thing that I cannot do so far is to search for a carriage return and replace it with something else. I still searching for a gizmo that will let me do that. I found one that is a macro, but I haven't been able to try try it yet.

I have been using it for a year or more and everything else that I need to do is fine.

Thanks; I've been going to download it for awhile and this encouraged me to do it. It's small, installs easily, seems to work great so far and the price is a lot better then MS OFFICE.
