Let me see the federal government has put up an objection to General Electric's sale of it's appliance business to Electrolux in Europe. The reasoning? Unfair market advantage to the new company and less value for the customer.

So now how about the sale of the last American computer chip America in the world....number two in world share....to be sold to a known adversary of the USA....known for the leadership role in much of the computer hacking against the USA....so what would be wrong with them having control over the worlds supply of chips for those computers that they hack into?

State-owned Chinese chip maker makes $23 billion bid for Micron - MarketWatch (http://www.marketwatch.com/story/state-owned-chinese-chip-maker-makes-23-billion-bid-for-micron-2015-07-13?dist=beforebell)

The words in the title should be of concern..."state owned chinese chip maker".

Have we lost all consideration of the welfare of the future of the USA?

I wonder what Clinto would have to say about these corporate fat cats selling out a strategic part of America's future.

The response is very noteable and overwhelming!
Probably because it was on the financial pages of today's news agencies.....not on any of the lettered media and did not contain a partisan position.

How indicative and sad actually.

The bigger problem with the Chinese microchips is that the Pentagon now wonders due to the aggressive hacking by them means that chinese microchips used in our military technology may be strategically placed to disarm and hack thus rendering us defendless.

One would hope and or think the departments of Justice, defense and home land security would not let such a deal go forward.

Once upon a time was nothing used by our military that we did not own or control to provide equipment and raw material.....for obvious reasons then.

The reasons in this computer vulnerable society should be screaming out in big red letters.

If allowed to go forward then just another step in the emasculation of America.

BUT.....we will feel good about who makes our appliances, right?

So American companies move manufacturing to China to increase the bottom line and grow the Chinese economy. With the growth of the Chinese economy the Chinese government buys U.S. debt. Meanwhile in the U.S. less people are working so they have to buy cheaper goods made in China. One day we get a wake up call that China is buying American businesses, stealing technology, and hacking into our computers. I guess we didn't see this train coming toward us 20 years ago. All Aboard!!!
China isn't a democracy. It's a hybrid Capitalist Communist country with 40% of corporate profit earned by state owned business.

I am really surprised at the lack of interest in this subject.
For some it would be understandable since it is not a contriversial subject, yet, that is covered by issued talking points and media, hence there is not much dialogue.

I hope I am wrong.

Communism is a fantasy created by the liberal media to make us believe we live in a democracy. In fact, our government is controlled by lobbyists and special interest groups.
Donald Trump has my vote unless "El Chapo" gets to him first.
