Hello, I'm brand new to the villages and am in need of a parrot sitter. I have to have a second knee replacement and cannot leave Ollie alone.
Can any one out there give me suggestions or help? Thanks, Karen

We are also new and not arriving until Sept 10. We've owned 3 yellow-nape Amazons, so are familiar with parrots, but nothing the size of a Macaw! Are you looking for someone to live-in with Ollie (that's my name, too!) or could he move in with us and stay in his cage? We have a 14 month old lab who has not been around birds. Are you talking a couple of days or six weeks? When is your surgery?

All these questions, plus what kind of parrot is Ollie? I didn't see it mentioned.

Ollie is a double yellow-head Amazon. Ollie is moveable and has been around and is good around dogs. As for a time frame, I don't know yet. Nothing is scheduled and I'm not sure I want to do it soon. But I do want to be prepared.

Thanks so much for replying. I'd like to keep you in mind should I need your help sometime after you get settled down here. By the way, my computer wizard is also good with cats and dogs, should you need someone to look after them when you're away.
