Does anyone know how you can adopt a bench in memory or honor of someone. You see them through out TV with little plaques on them. We have a friend that passed and I wanted to see how about going to doing this. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks

They cost about $675.00. They do not have lots of spots left to put them and they have very specific rules as to where they go, etc...

I just paid for Bench #562 in the new Atlas Dog Park south of 466A near Belle Glade Country Club.
It is best to go down there to order. The Villages Customer Service is located upstairs in breezeway next to Starbucks at Sumter Landing, 984 Old Mill Run, (352)753-4508. The lady that handles it is very helpful. Have your verbiage typed or written out when you go to save time. You may include up to 5 lines, 20 characters per line including spaces.
Good Luck...

I'm in Michigan and I would love to purchase a bench in the Atlas Dog Park. My 91 year old mother and I just got a Shih Tzu puppy. It would give Mom a place to sit while Lexi has her play time!
Since I'm not there to look at the benches, what do people usually put on them? I would like our bench to be in memory of my father and my brother and sister-in-law. Thanks!

Mine is in memory of my dogs & rescue. As another poster pointed out, there aren't many spaces left to put them. Just type out their names on 3 of the lines and some type saying on the first two lines. Call the office - maybe they can read you a couple.

Hahaha! I wonder if TV would allow something like that. :)
