Any ex or present "Villagers of the Day" on TOTV?
For those not in the Villages yet, this is a Lifestyles feature from The Villages Daily Sun.
Just wondering if you have been featured not when and it is probably not wise to post real full names and Village on TOTV.

Villages Kahuna did a segment on the One Minute spot light thing awhile back. Don't know of anyone who was The Villager of the Day though.

My husband and I both were. I think it was sometime last January. Our place was rented at the time and we had just stopped in to say hello and just a quick dance at SS. since we weren't going to be there when the pieces ran, the reporter mailed them to us.

Yep, I was VOD on/about last Nov 1....sitting at LSL with my honey and 2 friends after golf sipping a happy hour brew...the reporter came up to us...I deferred to the 3 others but no one wanted to do it, so, I took the moment of fame.

Was never VOD, however, the first week living in TV I attended a neighborhood club meeting at Saddlebrook. Newbies stood up and introduced themselves; there were two at that time and as coincidence would have it, we both were from MA and lived not far from each other in MA.
Little did I know that there was a Daily Sun journalist at the meeting. She came over to me and asked if she could take my pic with the other MA resident. But of course, Was flattered and pleased to see the pic published.
Autographs anyone? 1rnfl 1rnfl 1rnfl wav wav 040 040

For the first five years I lived here I practiced what to say when I became VOD. Finally gave up BUT I was on VNN a couple years ago. There was a knock on my door and there was Stephen wanting to know what my worse Christmas present was. There was also a glimpse of me at an Ohio Club meeting on one of the older Village DVD's. I have made it in the paper as a Village Idiot and then cheering while watching an OSU football game.

Tal - curious as to what you mean by this? Should we all register with an alias?

Not necessarily. Those TOTVers with backgrounds which might have made them enemies who use the Internet alot probably are already aware of some of the kinds of people who use the Internet a great deal-- spammers, trolls, sexual predators, activists, Internet bullies, etc. Some of these people are quite harmless but many are not. Much of these links information is geared towards kids' safety on the Internet but this seems also applicable to kids of all ages. http://www.nclis.gov/info/kids2.html http://www.isoc.org/oti/articles/0199/conklin.html http://blog.eun.org/insafe/2006/02/united_states_the_promise_and.html

I was the woman with the 'sugar free candy'. They started out with me and kept returning to me after they talked to others. So neat someone saw me. :)
