E-Bay phone number to contact.

Hello:

Does anyone out there have a real phone number on which to contact someone at E-Bay? I have not used E-Bay in over a year and forgot my password. No matter what I try, it's wrong. And I can't change my password as you can't get onto E-Bay to change your password because you need your password to get onto E-Bay. Hope I haven't lost anyone.
I just need to talk with someone to help me with my forgetfulness. ???

Have you tried the "forgot your password" link? Located just below where you would type your password, on the My eBay page.
This will also bring you to a link called "forgot your user ID".

I second that NC - You just need your e-mail address and they send through a new verification process to reestablish your user-id and PW.

Also, when you first click into eBay, look in the top right hand corner. You'll see a yellow question mark and live help. Click on "live help" and an agent will almost immediately email back to chat.

I tried the "forgot your password" thing about a month ago. And what do they ask you for when you try to get into ebay to change it? ........ you guessed it, your old password!! DUH!!!
I'll try the live help line as a second choice. No one has a real time phone number where I can TALK audioly (such a word?) to a live person?

Hi, my daughter works for eBay in San Jose. Sorry but they do not have contact phone numbers. Using the Live Chat is your best bet. :dontknow:
