We will be coming to the Villages from the UK for 2 months in October and I want to get a pre-paid/pay as you go US sim card to use while we are there. Can some one please tell me which provider has the best coverage and where I can get the card from. I bought one on-line the last time we came and tbh coverage was poor so don't want to make that mistake again. Thanks

We really like Verizon. Whenever we have visitors who use a different service, they have very poor connection & dropped calls.

I dropped Verizon 3 years ago and have been using AT&T Go phones. The Z222 phone is available at Walmart, Target and Walgreens for $14.99. The battery on mine just failed holding a charge and I picked up a new one yesterday at Walgreens on sale for $11, it's cheaper to buy a new phone rather than a battery.

I buy 1000 minutes for 12 months for $100, you can buy as little as a month, 3 months, or 6 months. When you buy the phone the first time there is a startup sim included and then you buy the minutes, sold at the stores where the phones are sold, or as in my case I opened an account online and buy my minutes over the internet. Like I say, I only buy it once a year for $100, and the coverage works much better than our Verizon phone did in TV.

I second John W. about AT&T coverage and sim cards.

Thanks for that - looks like Walmart it is then!
