After knowing four women in TV who wear wigs all of the time, and after having my hair become a struggle with age, I decided to buy a wig. That was in April, and I bought it at the Wig Wam. At first, I felt as if everyone was staring at me, and I felt like I was wearing a hat. Then I wore it to dinner with friends, and they all wanted one, too. The next day, four of us returned to the wig shop. They all bought wigs. At first, I would just wear mine for dinners out, etc. We returned to Wisconsin, and I now have four wigs! I find myself wearing them more and more and have gotten used to having something on my head. I feel I younger the minute I put one on. I wish I knew how to post a picture.

Would anyone like to share their experiences with wearing wigs?

As I age, my hair has taken on a life of it's own and is thinning. :22yikes:
I wear a wig a lot. I have 3 of them. Ready to go get another for a change.

I also have thinning hair & have considered purchasing a wig, but have been reluctant to buy one because I thought they would be "Hot to wear" in the summer. Is this true? TKS!

They can be if you are out in the sun. They make them lighter than they use to.

We are in Wisconsin right now, and I don't feel they are hot. A friend told me she will wash her hair and put her wig on with her hair wet on hot days. I haven't tried that.

Seriously, I really love them.
