If it is a small party 30 or so you used to be able to use the card rooms for free. The larger rooms are charged.

I thought the charge was levied ONLY if some of the people were non villagers.

I had a large golf group of villagers (about 100) and rented the large room at Chatham Rec Center for $52 per hour + a refundable cleaning deposit. We got our cleaning deposit back in two weeks.
