It's 9am and there are at least 6 sheriff cars in the Rosedale Villas in Duval. They came to my door and asked me to check my car, the neighbor across the street had his car stolen and a rash of burglaries happened last night. The neighbor had left his keys in the car unlocked. So be vigilant and lock up.

Some people forget to take the keys and thiefs use any opportunity that is offered.

He left the keys in the car - and the car was parked in the driveway? Wow!
You say that there were a rash of burglaries last night? Were the homes broken into occupied at the time or were they vacant or the people gone for the time being?
What kind of things were taken?

If the car is left unlocked, you're inviting theft, whether it be loose change a GPS, phones, chargers, etc. It's easy pickings for the bad guys, and unfortunately there are no places that are immune from crime, including TV.

Also the remote control to your garage could be in your Car and if you don't put the lock on it at night then they could enter your house.
