We will be moving to the Village of Dunedin next month and was wondering if the mail kiosk is up and functioning since we will be forwarding our mail to it/ Does anyone know since the PO did not know!

That is usually one of the first buildings to go up, since it is needed when the first house is sold and people move in.

Dunedin mailboxes are co-located with the pool on Hillsborough Trail near Valleybrook.

How does one get a mailbox? My wife and I recently bought a house in the village of Dunedin and will (obviously) want to get our mail at the kiosk once we move there (unfortunately for us, not for another year and a half so we're renting it out for now). Is there a mailbox specifically for each street address or do we get assigned a box number somehow? And where do we get the keys?

:a040: That would work great..... they could sort the mail with SALAD SHOOTER!

:welcome: You're going to fit right in.

P.S. you get your Postal Station keys at your closing where you can also ask all the important questions you forgot to ask before throwing down all those big bucks. Again :welcome:

You'll be assigned a box number when you close.
And other residents really like it if you personalize your box with a sticker. :evil6:

You should have received keys and a box number at closing. The mailbox key is a large (bigger than a door key) brass key.

Until you pay the one time fee for the use of The Villages mall box you will not receive mail at your new address. That fee gives you use of The Villages mail delivery system and allows your prescription medicine to rest in an air conditioned place and the new socks from your kids on your birthday to stay in the package section..

I am not pro sticker. But I am not passionate about it.

The closing was handled remotely so there's probably a few things that would normally have been explained to us that were not. We've got renters now so presumably between them, the property management company and the closing office, they've got a mailbox key and will leave it for us when they move out in a year.

I recently moved into the new Pine Ridge Village and out mail boxes are built but not in use, I spoke to the Lady Lake PO and they say it will be another 2 months before they are in use, no explanation as to why, just that I now I have to go to Lady Lake to get my mail.

The mail boxes for Dunedin Village are located on Hillsborough Trail at the Dunedin Pool. Mail is addressed to your residence but delivered to your mailbox. Our new home is on Gentle Terrace.
