Those storms look scary on the radar and usually they fall apart a bit before hitting.

It seems only death and taxes are certainties; meteorological forecasts are not.

Perhaps one could say the mother of all storms birthed her baby storms and went on her way.

It must have hit the bubble and split. I've seen it do that several times. We had the same event happen quite often in KC; it was called the Tonganoxie Split.
