First time in eleven years I have seen the question even asked.
In eleven years I have never seen one.

Most likely any ever seen are broug in from else whereon some vegetation being brought in or on a truck load of something from some where else.

Domestic, (?), scorpions sting is eqivilant to a bee sting in pain and reaction.

However, do a google search for FL scorpions and specifics.

I treat them as I do snakes....they are all poisonous.....hence steer a wide berth.

Was it or your cart in or around new coctrucion.

Had a little, baby one - about 1" - dead in the garage the first year we moved in 6 years or so ago. Called the pest control guys immediately, of course. He arrived and asked if I was driving the cart around any new construction. I probably picked it up while we were checking out the new sections- just north of 466A at that time. He said that he had never seen any live ones after construction wrapped up.

I have seen live scorpions (Small) in rotted trees just under the bark just north of Inverness. Woodsy area . Give them the right environment and they will be there.

There are scorpions around here. They wii grow to about 2 1/2 inches long, are nocturnal, and they do have a very painful sting.

On a cruise ship I was on, there was a brand of mescal being served called Scorpion. Instead of a worm in the bottle, there was a small scorpion.

Black ones are not the ones that are really dangerous. Brown...those can be fatal.

Never seen one in 8 years and hubby is always digging in the garden and has never seen one either. Here's some info about Florida scorpions. By reading this it sounds like their sting isn't poisonous.

Wow. That brought on a flashback to my Ft. Hood days. Saw only one scorpion there, but unfortunately it was running across my bunk. Didn't sleep well that night.

Mescal made by fermenting and then distilling the abundant almost weedy agave plant ,which despite it looks is more closely related to the lily plant than the cactus. For the product to be labeled tequila the Mexican government says distillers (150 of them ) must make their liquor in Jalisco or portion of four other Mexican states. They also have to abide by certain guidelines such as using only a strain of agave called Weber blue. (protects the name).
