Wasserman-Schultz was asked twice, on different days to explain the difference between Democrats and Socialists. She couldn't answer the question, attempting to evade the subject by saying that the difference that counts is the difference between Democrats and Republicans.

I used to know the difference between the two, but that has changed in the last ten to twenty years, with the differences becoming vaguer and narrower.
Technically, the difference is that Democrats are supposed to believe in capitalism and free enterprise. Where socialists believe in nationalizing industry and services. That's my take on it, in a simplistic view of the two. In the last ten years, I haven't seen much of a difference in the two and I believe Wassername didn't want to admit that her party has started to resemble a socialistic ideology. That's my opinion.

The interesting point here, is that she was asked this question by the liberal media. To be questioned like that by Chris (tingle down my leg) Matthews and then Chris Dodd and not attempt to answer, made her look like a total clutch.
