This is a serious question.

It appears from the posts on here that at least one poster is on all the mailing and talk lists of the Democratic party and perhaps knows this answer.

Are there going to be any Democratic debates at all ?

They had announced a bit ago that their would be and now all of a sudden based on the head of the party and news reports, it is up in the air.

Can you shed any light ?

From what I have heard, Hillary does not feel the necessity for debates, since she is the ONLY Democrat candidate. She feels that there need not be a primary also.

If the Democrats have a debate, Hilary would have to plead the 5th constantly so it's probably better for the Democrats to dispense with any questions.

And where did you hear that?

Dems will hold three debates - but the election is more than a year away !!

Absolutely no reason to hold debates now

Anyway, for sheer entertainment nothing can compare to the upcoming Calvaclade of Con Clowns we can all witness tomorrow night

When would those debates take place. any info on that.

I will ignore the childish comment at the end, because you folks need no more encouragement....the bad kid you just ignore but I really want to know when those debates might take place. Head of the party was VERY non committal this week on that subject.

But, don't hold your breath. Kind of hard to have debates if your star performer is in jail.

Interesting how some feel about this item....

"Martin O’Malley, who is struggling to gain traction in the Democratic presidential contest, accused the Democratic National Committee on Wednesday of tipping the scales in Hillary Rodham Clinton’s favor by limiting the number of debates to six.

“I want to say right off the bat here, that to those in Washington who think they can limit the number of debates,” Mr. O’Malley said as he campaigned in Iowa, according to a transcript provided by his aides, “they’re gonna have another thing coming when they talk to the people of Iowa.”

In the past, Mr. O’Malley’s supporters have accused the national commitee, which is theoretically neutral in the primary, of taking actions that benefit Mrs. Clinton."

Wow, another Democrat winner! Calling Biden, calling Biden...dust off you clogs and get ready to dance. Biden is the ONLY chance for the Democrats. Unless they can draft George Clooney. :1rotfl:

"By inserting themselves into the debate process, the DNC has ironically made it less democratic. The schedule they have proposed does not give voters—nationally, and especially in early states—ample opportunity to hear from the Democratic candidates for President," former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley said in a statement.

O'Malley also told The Hill newspaper on Wednesday that "there's an effort by a few insiders to try to limit the number of debates."

"It's all about trying to pre-ordain the outcome, circle the wagons and close off debate," O'Malley said. "If they could actually accelerate the date of the Iowa caucuses and hold them tomorrow — they'd like to do that. Then there'd be no campaign at all. That's what they'd really like."

If you can't live with the Demo-socialist corruption, then you better change parties. Looks like Billary has no use for campaigns, debates, or nominations. Just "deem" her the candidate to run in the general election. I've heard of being elected from behind bars. Hmmm, wonder if this is another example.
