In spite of Fay impacting the eastern mtns of Cuba, it would appear at this time that the high over SE FL is weakening and prob will not cause Fay to move westerly far enough to avoid impacting SE FL just off the coast.

I think it will come ashore around Naples and then track NNE.

Fay will prob then track the length of FL eventually traveling through Central FL and moving more easterly into LA and GA.

The only saving grace is that Fay may not become more than a class #1 hurricane and possibly remain a tropical depression.

Winds would be expected to be 60 to 70 kts - plenty strong enough to cause damage.

Rain - because Fay will prob slow down rain will be a factor to consider.

The east coast of FL will be the least affected tho 40 kt winds should be expected.

Prepare and pray are the best preparation left to us. Unless you decide to evacuate.

If evacuating go north and west not north and easterly.

I will continue to update these alerts.

Probable impact w/ FL will be late Mon and Tues.

Thanks for the report. I'll look forward to these as I am more in front of my computer than the television. Also, this is my first Hurricane season! :yikes:
