What is a normal fee quarterly for a broker to charge for managing a 401k

No normal fee. Some charge .5% to 1.5% on your balance. Some charge a flat fixed fee. Some make their money hourly, some make it on buy/sells.

Good Luck..............sometimes difficult to compare.

I pay about $550 a year for my Ameriprise rep to manage two small IRA's and an annuity.

The money makes far more than that each year and my guy is worth every penny.

Might be. Have you looked at the numbers in terms of PERCENTAGE of your portfolio? Also, what percentage you keep? Have you been through down years with your guy? Just some things to consider.

Plus...............there should be no fee on the annuity portion

Be mindful that there may be other fees or servicing charges that you are not aware of.

I would go directly to your broker/advisor and ask the s/he explain any and all charges be taken from you account their amounts/% and on what basis (% of monthly, annually, etc)

If you are not happy with those fees ask if they can be negotiated down
