I'm BAAACK!

hey guys, i am back from a wonderful trip and want to thank those of you who tried to keep things going on our singles thread...i understand the heat and rain here has not been conducive to many nights at the square or any outdoor activities...we had the same problem in beautiful Italy! the heat was staggering. BUT the purpose of this message is to invite any new visitors to the Villages who are single to let us know when you are coming so we can plan another of our fun Meet and Greets....I have not heard from anyone to this effect but there must be a few newbies who would like to be assured of meeting some other singles when they arrive. I do know that Geoff from England is returning toward the end of this month, but any others? Let us hear from YOU!

Where do these meet and greets take place??

in nice weather we just meet on the porch of the LSL sales center, but in very hot or rainy or cold weather we try to get the back room at Panera's next door. we usually get about thirty people so difficult to have them at homes. we are not an official club so do not have regular meetings. only if someone expresses an interest in meeting with us. meanwhile we have a large group of good friends who do many things together aside from this thread.

Im not new to this area been coming here for 28 years to see mom and dad. Im living here now to take care of dad since mom passed, and I would love to meet other single people and go out and have a good time when I can. When is your next meet and greet?

if you will be here in early sept after Geoff arrives, i will plan one. would like to hear from any others who will be visiting then so we can welcome as many as possible. we have found it works well to do them around 4 pm so there is no loud music and everyone can then make their evening plans independently. let's set a tentative date for wednesday, sept 9. wednesday is also a good night for dancing at the Waterfront Inn afterwards, or catching a movie, or music in the square, so that is a good date. if anyone wants us to make it a bit later in the month to accomodate them, please let me know. would also like to hear from the regulars if they can be there to welcome the newcomers. please post here.

I don't think I can make the 9th because the Villages Philharmonic is at the Savanah Center. Already have tickets. You and Adelaide are featured on my time line on FB. Must see.
