Traffic rules are universal in America basically. No left turn from the right lane ,kind of like on Canal St. solid white line stay in your lane. When I turn left at Kline I will not turn in front of a car that is right behind me so please people dont stop to let a car cross in front of you . And golf carts dont cross in front of cars. Thats how the man was killed over on Morse Blvd. this year, let the cars go past you . The person tonight on Canal stopped when I stopped I was in a cart she in a car what if a car came around her I was turning crossed the other lane I'm hit. Carts should blend into traffic when the road is clear. Please stop being nice. Drive according to the traffic rules.

My complaint is when a car on the inner lanes of a round-a- bout exits and changes lanes while making the exit. Why don't they stay in their own lanes throughout the exit. Yes, before you point it out, some exits are into a single lane which requires a lane change. When this is the case, I would suggest the car in the inner round-a-bout lane move to the outside lane prior to their exit.

I wonder if the woman was being nice when she was rear ended at the roundabout on El Camino going to 441. She was rubbing her neck and people ignored the LEO and started to go around the accident. LEO was knocking on the side of one car and the guy pretended like he was deaf. HHHHMMMMMMM....
I am always careful when someone is in the right lane and decides to go three quarters around the roundabout. HHHHMMMMMMM............
Another one I've seen, is someone entering the roundabout and strays into the left lane as they are too lazy to turn the wheel to stay in the right lane. AAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!
Be careful out there............

I agree. In certain cases it doesn't pay to be nice!!

I agree with the OP. When I'm in my cart I often have waving contests with car drivers. They seem to forget that there may be 2 lanes of traffic I need to cross, not just theirs!

A lane change is allowed when the white line is broken.

There was a previous thread along these lines, and it was pointed out that only uniformed LEO's are allowed to direct traffic, so if you stop, especially on a 4 lane road to say let someone out or to cross, you are effectively directing traffic. If an accident occurs, I would bet you would be charged.....

I have been on this forum for sometime now and this topic is a continuing saga and I witnessed the nicest today when a stopped on Morse only to let the driver in the opposing lane make his left turn sh is lucky sh didn't get rear ended.

I never drive beside some one in the roundabout. I either slow down or go fast enough so the car not beside me. I think the car ahead (which ever lane they're in has the right a way in the roundabout? ) And of course using blinker lights would be nice also. :blahblahblah: I know wasting my typing or breath

Both.........You can talk until blue in the face but things will never change. Just watch out for yourself and assume everyone is out to get you.

IMO
When you have the right of way--take it. If not wait. Execptions for very long backups and a process develop to allow for alternate moves.

Especially the contractors, the snow-birds, the young, middle-aged and old people (and three people here on TOTV). :lipsrsealed:
